Lookout Source Solutions was formed by Joel Greenia to leverage the skills he acquired over a fast paced twenty-five year career in Silicon Valley. He considers himself uniquely positioned to assist a wide range of clients in the areas of management, process reengineering, systems implementation and technical tax and accounting issues.
Founder's Bio
Joel is originally from Western New York where he attended the State University of New York earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After college, he accepted a position with GTE in Mountain View, CA while visiting Silicon Valley during a cross country bicycle trip. He has made it his home ever since.
The Corporate Track
After GTE, he earned his CPA working in public accounting and then returned to industry. From the mid 1980's on, Joel managed at a senior level virtually every form of accounting/finance task and process including start-up level through IPO, organizational re-engineering, ERP systems implementations, Treasury/Cash Management, Financial Planning and he even shut down one company. The list of companies Joel made an impact at includes large multinationals such as Xerox, Amdahl and Polycom as well as other Silicon Valley originals such as Redback Networks, Auspex Systems, Storage Dimensions, Nellcor and Shugart Associates. He has been a VP of Finance and Corporate Controller at several high tech companies.
The Small Business/Individual Tax Track
Like many professionals, Joel planned for the day when he could go out on his own. He began laying the foundation for this eventual career transformation early into his career while working toward his CPA in the early 1980's. He chose a local/regional firm that would engage him with small company challenges. He performed audits, prepared tax returns for business and individuals and assisted small business owners with their accounting needs. When he left public accounting, he leveraged his acquired knowledge and started an accounting and tax practice which continues to grow and prosper. His recent focus is to continue to expand this area of the business while supporting his Corporate clients.
Credentials
In addition to being an active CPA, he has a number of distinguished professional certifications in management accounting (CMA), cash management (CCM), stock option administration (CEP) and inventory/manufacturing management (CPIM).
It is the combination of high level industry management experience coupled with small business support and personal income tax expertise that gives Joel the bandwidth to uniquely serve you at all levels.
